Overview:
This paper introduces the principle of CN3051 and CN3052 battery charger integrated circuits. The CN3051/CN3052 is a charger circuit that can perform constant current/constant voltage charging on a single-cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer rechargeable battery. The device includes a power transistor internally that does not require an external current sense resistor and blocking diode. The CN3051 and CN3052 require very few peripheral components and are compliant with the USB bus specification, making them ideal for portable applications.
